By using white cotton for the warp and dyed cotton for the weft, Shinto conjures visions of earth, water, or fresh grass peeking out from beneath fallen snow through their beautiful Yukine Towel. The towel features a characteristic “squeaky” feel born from the company's traditional atozarashi refining method, which removes any remaining starch or impurities from the fabric. While all of Shinto’s towels go through this process, the Yukine Towel spends twice as long at this step to maximize the cotton's natural absorbency and create unparalleled comfort.
About Shinto Towel
Shinto Towel combines more than a century of knowledge and technical experience with an eye for innovation and creativity to create premium textiles that disrupt the status quo. Their towels are set apart by their superior absorbency, luxurious softness, and a trademark texture achieved through atozarashi, a post-weave refining process that removes all starch, oils, and impurities from the fibers to create an addictingly fluffy texture.
